    Default PBS 'Frontline'

I'm starting to be a big fan of this program. Not afraid to tackle difficult issues and their reporting seems to be very objective.

Last weeks "Obama's War" was very good. Their series on the economy and financial meltdown has been excellant.

Last nights 'The Warning' was exceptional. Unequivocally putting the blame for the derivatives debacle on Greenspan and Rubin's not just outright refusal to accept regulation but their strident attack on the agency and it's director...this was the Clinton era, so politics of personal destruction were in full bloom....that had oversight authority of this market.

The sad conclusion is that they were successful in yanking that oversight authority from that agency and to this day THERE IS NO OVERSIGHT WHATSOEVER OF THIS MARKET AND IT CONTINUES TO THE PRESENT.

To be objective...they had a lot of Republican help in doing this.....Phil Gramm for one.

An "aha" moment came to me when they discussed the Rubin's staff at Treasury and the WH during this time....ever hear of Timothy Geitner and Larry Summers?

This is a must see program and is available to view on-line as are all their excellant programs at:

I saw a short 5 minute clip of this show this morning but I'm not sure I want to watch the whole thing...blood pressure issues

    I discovered a hypnotic website today.... http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Watch it for a minute and see what you think.

I DVR'd it, I knew I'd be busy cleaning pheasant and eating a late supper when it came on here. I've always been a big fan of Frontline.

I've seen some sharpies up near the northern border of SD, but none around here. It's raining here today, but I'm going to go scope out some hunting spots out west of here anyway. I have nice rain gear that I bought for running dogs in trials, so it doesn't matter to me. I don't know what my dad brought from Michigan on the other hand... We need to keep filling the freezer!
