I notice you conveniently left the Bush administration out of the mess. You skipped right over his 8 years, and went all the way back to Clinton.

Besides, the housing market is not the only reason the economy tanked. What about increased U.S. debt, unemployment, American jobs exported overseas, decline of the U.S. dollar, near collapse of the banking industry, exploding fuel prices, etc? This didn't just happen suddenly under Obama's watch.

I didn't say it was all Bush's fault. However, you cannot blame Clinton for starting it and Obama for not curtailing it, yet completely skip the 8 years the Bush administration ran the country. Just because they are your party of choice, you cannot turn a blind eye to what happened on their watch and absolve them of any responsibility. If you expect Obama to be able to fix this mess in 9 months, certainly you should have expected Bush to do something about it in 8 years.
