    Cool New Guy

    I just wanted to give out a formal introduction since I am new to the site. I just got a chocolate lab pup(Charlie) on wednesday, so next week when I get home from Iraq, I will be working on early stuff with OB and building his desire. Look forward to getting insight from you all throughout our training, and I'm sure I will have lots of questions!

    Welcome to RTF!

    Buy a good training program and follow it. Don't be in a rush to get to the "big dog stuff". Advance when the dog is ready.

    I forgot to mention joining a retriever club or training group. They are invaluable in teaching the "trainer" how to teach the dog!
