how do you/did you earn a living?

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago flipping burgers, mowing lawns, and stocking shelves. After grad school I worked for MN DNR for 12 years as a fisheries biologist at several locations in the state. Started getting sick of just "monitoring the decline" so I took advantage of an opportunity to work with a Mn based non-profit environmental group about 8 years ago as their natural resource scientist. I now work on a variety of science and policy issues in Minnesota. Every few years I each a wetland ecology course at a local university. I judge and run hunt tests but family time has really crimped my time for dogs the past couple years.

So as not to break the thread, I wholesale and retail leather, hides, pelts, leather working tools, hardware and findings.

Funny though, we don't see any RTF PP's owning up to lawyer, investment banker, financial planner, etc. Even though I'm sure they are here.

I’m a commercial roofing contractor. I spend about half my time selling work and the other half managing jobs and babysitting dysfunctional young men to get the work done. It’s a good living, but nothing glamorous. And, yes I speak Spanish very well.

My funest job was as a feedlot cowboy during the summers and all thru college. Ye hah!

I hope to get back to Field Trialing someday again, after I have put together another fortune and am tired of 2nd wife.
