What are some of the most often asked questions with respect to field training.
Regardless of whether you're new to fieldwork with a ton of questions yourself, or an experienced amateur or pro that has heard the same question asked a thousand times... which ones always seem to be at the top of the list?
Some of my favorites are:
"Why do I need to force fetch my dog when he's already picking stuff up?"
"Can I train my dog to do THAT if I get an e-collar?"
"Do I have to use birds?"
"What do you mean take him off-lead???"

How do you get your dog to sit on a whistle?
How old does a dog have to be to start training?
Can I train my dog myself?
Can you help me?
How far is that mark?
How much does it cost to train a dog?
Just some of my favorites.
* The day you decide you no longer want to have the ability to fairly enforce trained command instantly, at a distance and in a manner your dog understands.*
Is your dog suppose to run the opposite way when you blow the sit whistle?
Are you sure he will come back?
Do you normally drive around and look for your dog?
Is it normal for the dog to hunt all over the field?
Was he suppose to avoid the cover?
Did you want him to run around that bank?
Do you always have laryngitis?
Or, how about: "I just got this dog out of the newspaper. He seems pretty good at retrieving things. I'm thinking of running trials with him. How do I start?"
Do you know any pros that will train my dog for two or three months during the summer?
