With over 30,000 songs on my 120gig ipod, why pay $200. a year for satellite? Plus, I can load movies and podcast to watch while driving.

Besides, with the internet coming in some 2011 models, you can listen to any radio station that streams as well as watch any NFL game at NFL.com. And, if you don't like the music on radio, you can listen to whatever kind of music you like on Pandora.com for free.

I didn't want to miss the Stormy Daniels podcast as she was discussing if she should run for the U S Senate or make a couple more porn movies. I think she should run!

I find it hard to believe that people actually believe any of the drivel that spews from those radicals mouths. To me it doesn't matter if you lean left or right it should be insulting to your intelligence to believe what any of them say.OK so the rant went a little further.
From other posts you have made on RTF, I think I kind of like you (not in a homo way). But I kind of take issue with this generic statement. "[Ithe drivel that spews from those radicals mouths[/I]". I only really listen to Rush. I can take Beck for about 15 minutes at a time before he drives me nuts, but that is style and not substance. If you are going to characterize their speech as drivel then I would like a concrete example of this alleged drivel and it would have to come from Rush as he is the only one I listen to regularly. I think that is fair since you included him.
So what has Rush said that is drivel? specifically?

I find that Dennis Prager and Michael Medved are pretty level-headed conservative radio personalities. There is no question that they are right-leaning.

I've caught Rush once or twice on long car trips. Same for Hannity.

    Terry,

I have listened to Rush very little. I found it very hypocritical bashing people while at the same time behind close doors Rush himself was a drug addict. But quite honestly since I don't listen to any of them I can't give a specific concrete example.

My intent with "drivel" was that all of the big three are so biased in their opinions I don't thiink any of them are worth the time to listen to. Threw Howard in there for effect.

in the early days rush had some moments of pure genius. he once started to abort calls. a "caller abortion" could be conducted if he didnt want to deal with a call, didnt have time for it, or didnt want the caller that called in the first place. he could go ahead and take the call, and then put it up for adoption - let some other talk show host deal with it. but what if that host abused the call? or he could just abort it all together and get rid of it for good. the "caller abortion" took place with a 12 second sound clip of a vacuum cleaner.

but when does a call become a call? when it is dialed? while ringing? or when it is answered? and until then, isnt the call just an unviable electronic pulse? and how long should a person be on hold before he could abort the call? Sometimes he puts those calls on hold for minutes, during which they gestate out there before they hit the air. how long does it take to gestate to full term?

prochoice types were infuriated and he took so much heat he actually succumbed and quit doing it.

then there was the shrimpers protest where they blocked the Houston Ship Channel protesting turtle excluder devices, or TED's, that would divert the turtle out before hitting the net, thereby saving i from drowning. but shrimpers said they also lost a lot of shrimp as well. Rush's comment: "how can you take a device that is designed to prevent another living creature from drowning and call it a "TED"?

last but not least - Ted Kennedy had the floor and pronounced "It is clear that the Panama Invasion cost more lives than it saved"

Rush: "I would like to ask the esteemed senator just what does he know about the cost of saving a life?? back in a moment"

    i miss those days.
