Default Equating CIA operatives with Terrorists

An article in yesterdays Washington Post opinion section made some comparisons between CIA employees that are piloting drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan with Terrorists.
I hope Dick Cheney doesn't read the article.

    Very interesting.
I wonder why they don't just work in conjunction with the military, to play within the rules?
I can only imagine this will be another issue that will raise ire of righties because it is happening under Obama. Under Cheney, no problem, and shame on you for being so unpatriotic as to question this in the first place!

    Happy pi-day, by the way,

the twisted logic of the washington post.

If a CIA operative wore his or her uniform to work to fly that drone would there be a difference?

Lets just say the CIA opperates in "dress down Friday" mode every day.

Our CIA are front line troops in our wars against any enemy. What they do in the service of or country is a military action. Their uniform is military garb as well as civilian cloths.

I fully support the CIA whether there is a left wing radical democrat like obama in the white house or any republican.

Perhaps it would be better if they were sitting in a basement somewhere in their underwear. What a waste of ink.

The CIA really does not where a uniform at least in the military sense. This does not mean that during covert ops that they might not have one on. I think the bigger question that this op-ed brings up is Are CIA operatives that are engaged in targeting or flying drones in Pakistan or Afghanistan legitimate targets of the Terrorists?

No, just a realist. I try not to live in the pie-in-the-sky theoretical world populated by left wing radical extremists.

The reality is, if you go to another country, in or out of uniform. Then hunt and kill the local populace under the logic that it is better to fight them there than here. Don't be surprised when they fight back. Really
