    Default 2010 Census -Common Sense

We live in an area which for lack of a better term is a resort area made up of primarily "weekenders". While driving around today, I noticed the 2010 Census packets hanging from everyone's front door. My problem is what was the cost to deliver by hand to each house and how inviting are these homes are with this "come on in, We're not here" bag hanging on the door for weeks. Kinda PO's me.

I guess I'll put this here rather than start a new thread.

    Got our census mailing today.
I live in New Berlin WI.
According to the census info, I live in Waukesha WI.

    Reasoning???

To save money on postage.........after spending BILLIONS on the program & T-shirts.

Can't wait for our Gov't. run healthcare!!!

What's really odd is that most of the full time residents here have not received anything yet. More government efficiency I guess.

But they went out and GPS'd every building marking it as either full time occupied, temporary vacation residense, or not-occupied (storage shed). I know of at least one engineer that moonlighted on that job, and I am sure there were many that were picked up off of the street. I guess their quailty of work on the GPS project was lacking, and turned into a wasted effort.

Engineers believe that if it isn't broken, it doesn't have enough features yet.

    That is efficiency in government.

There is no need to use ground crews to do GPS. Satellites will give you a reasonable geo- location
