any wonder why "progressive radio" is a failure?

Schultz runs a pretty entertaining show. He's no lefty. Anybody who's heard him speak knows he's about as middle of the road moderate as they come. He's also a bird dog enthusiast and often talks about his Lab, Buck.
As far as the reasons progressive radio is struggling... I'd say it's because most true lefty's don't care that much and have better things to do than listen to talk radio.

i remember listening to him once and in the span of 1/2 hour - all i could stand - he called GWB "that son of a b___ch" in a very angry tone 4 or 5 times. if thats as middle off the road as they come then you must be falling over the edge of the left shoulder....

See now I would say if you think Shultz is a lefty, then your probably lost somewhere out in DEEP right field. I've also heard him attack Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and yes, even Obama. About the only issue that Schultz is hard left on is Unions. And who can falt him for that. Standing up for the working man is as American as the Declaration of Independence.
Although I will say one thing about Schultz. He's gotten too arrogant for my taste. Couple of years ago he was entertaining. Now he acts like Rush Limbaugh on the left... No thanks to either of them.

Nice try, Goose. I realize you are attempting to point out "nicely" where "TGWTCPN" (standing for The Guy With The Cutest Posting Name, which I'm pretty sure that's what he believes...how clever) might want to 'review' his placing ES in any form of moderacy.

Amen to that. He used to buy an afternoon of hunting at a pheasant preserve that belonged to my friends near Valley City, ND. I told him his BLF was not in condition for that property, but he insisted in running it until it dropped, and then eventually died. He doesn't have a clue about dogs, politics or life in general.

He's a whiner that pissed and moaned about how the state wasn't 'giving' him enuff money to keep him in the state, supposedly for promoting the state. What a farce. I can see why the lefties on board are enamored with him...he's as phoney as they are.

It failed because the new-age Conservatives already had the support of the mega-broadcasters and Air America did not. It is the main reason that Nancy Pelosi is pushing so hard for the new agreement on Artist Royalities. She knows that a new agreement on Artist Royalites will put some of the mega-broadcasters out of business.

Clear Channel owns more radio stations in American than any other company. They also own Premier Radio networks and own the rights to syndicate Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Clear Channel is teetering on bankrupcy as they are currently is default of their loans. A new Artist Royality agreement would burden thier music station to the point that they possible could not survive the increased cost or at the least make it that much harder to secure alternative fianancing.

Maybe Clear Channel can use the suggested technique the women from Nevada that is running against Harry Reid ,suggested to pay for health care. They can barter to pay their debts/

I don't know if progressive radio fails or not. Obviously, the network air America failed.

But, the reason I don't listen to it is because it isn't very good.
