Who is the best in the business that you would trust? thx
That sort of depends on which carriers serve you.
I like Continental.
Eric
I've used Delta and Midwest and all went well with both. Check your closest major airport and see who flies with the most direct route. call their Air Cargo dept. and see what they offer...
I have always used Continental.

No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a Labrador Retriever makes you rich!

Have had great experiences with Continental
just find out if the pup is shipped to airfreight service or to a customer service counter at baggage claim so pup doesn't have to wait for an extra 2 hours for stupid new owner to try and figure out where pup is and drive in traffic, park pick-up in over height parking due to new canopy with airing lights, walk into terminal on wrong side of airport, finally find customer service counter and pup. Owner then drags pup and crate back out to over height parking. New stupid owner lets pup out, pup wiggles off lead and takes off running- new owner catches pup during long potty break after flight and long wait at airport. Pup still hates the kennel- Continental- gals at customer service counter filled his little water dish too- but, then called him a labradoodle-

I've had good experiences with Continental and Delta. However, I also try to avoid situations that beg for trouble. I never want a dog on the last flight of the night or the last flight before a weekend or holiday. I also try to avoid connections always. When that is not possible I at least try to avoid connections through airports like Atlanta that seemed to be designed to lose things. I also try to make sure that if a connection is missed that there is another flight behind it.
Please keep the tips on shipping a puppy flowing.
We will be breeding our Ruby in mid-to-late November. Pups will be due mid-to-late February. Estimated shipping will be mid-to-late April. Weather should be OK in late April from either airport and should not be a factor.
One pup already sold will be flying from either Reno, NV, or Sacramento, CA, to Des Moines, Iowa. Have not yet checked to see which airlines or which airports have flights that will get her to Des Moines.
