Not a twit, SHH, not a twit, anymore than GWB did. Don't let the man behind the curtain pull your strings.

By the way, you sure got a nice place out there.
From the treeline on it's NF. Yours too. JD

    Time to re-invent.

Oh, I happen to hunt and like guns too. That pretty much puts the Obama Administration at odds with me on everything.
Central flyway in NM, dark goose and sprig quota's up this year. I can buy all the guns and ammo I want.
Repub backed PAC's want to limit land-holder permits for deer and elk in NM, and make everything a public draw and pay me <$ for tresspass. Sounds a little more socialistic than I care for. JD

There is no question about it. Two years ago we were in an economic crash that had no apparent bottom. Our banking system was on the verge of collapse. It seemed we faced a future similar to that our ancestors faced in the Depression: massive loss of wealth, unemployment of 20-30%, no auto industry, and a DOW that seemed likely to challenge the wrong side of 5000 (simply read UB's prognostications at that time). Our economic situation now is not good, but it is a lot better than it was then.

Where do you come off with this YOUR Messiah nonsense? You make a lot of assumptions and you're off on all of them. My premiums are down because the company I work for pays a lot more of it than the company I left.

Your premium has not gone down! The portion that you personally pay may have gone down due to a job change but I will bet that the full cost of that policy has increased.

That's like claiming that you had an individual policy and are now part of a company that pays for part of your insurance.
    Give me a break.
You changed employers and as part of your compensation you received a better health benefit.
That has absolutely nothing to do with the actual cost of the plan going down!

Also are you comparing apples to apples as far as the plan goes?

You're correct. The question was asked, "how are you personally better off". I answered it. Perhaps I'll re-phrase the answser. My healthcare "expense" went down. The response to the original message is this, yes, many people and the nation are better off today than they were 2 years ago. And yes, I am an example.

DIP, in the past you also posted how your health care went down under Obongolo Care. Again I point out to you Obongolo Care has not gone into effect yet. What don't you understand about that?

I've stated many times here and elsewhere my dissatisfaction with the end game of healthcare reform. The republicans as usual were the obstacle that had to be overcome. The democrats, as usual failed to overcome that obstacle. Without a single payer insurance of some kind, we have ended up with no viable reform.
BTW, I have written here on many occasions that Healthcare reform has NOT gone into effect, and won't for many years.
