Default A new way to honor Obama

Just what has he done to deserve to be ranked with the past presidents that are honored on our currency? Maybe this is an honor somewhat like the Nobel Prize...

I thought only dead presidents went on currency hence the term for money "Dead Presidents". Obama should go on IOUs.

A lot of people are afraid of heights. Not me, I'm afraid of widths.

If you read the story, the entire thing is simply an ongoing project by a design and branding consultant to suggest alternative designs for the US currency, which he believes is badly in need of a makeover. Many designs have been prepared and submitted by different people. Visitors to the site vote for their favorites. The vertical design with Obama on the $1 doesn't appear to have been one of the more popular. (http://richardsmith.posterous.com/private/nrAygGGnqB). In a category ranking "favorite new person" to appear on a bill, Obama finished in a tie with Captain Jack Sparrow.

If any govt money is being spent on this ... it is ludicrous in the present economic situation. The least they could do is de-fund it until they start deficit reduction.

    Actually....

The leading vote-getter for this year's competition (pictured below) was submitted by British duo Dowling Duncan, which features a unique vertical design.

What about if we have to create new denominations in lieu of the hyper-inflation that some experts keep warning about?
PBO could go on the new $10,000 bill it might take to buy a loaf of bread/gallon of gas?
