RK. Dont know exacly were you hunt but did you ever try mud lake in door county. Buddy and i went two years a go and had a blast. Kinda tough to get to but with all the rain this year the river should be full. Been a while for me to and getting fired up also . Hopefully my little star will be to.Wouldn't surprise me........

BTW--I will have some pics of an estuary I hunt off of Lake Michigan in Door Cty WI.
I bow hunted near it last year and in late Oct. early Nov. they were pounding all day long.
Big water ducks.
I got to send Elvis on a couple retrieves with some fellas hunting there last season.
He was 9 months old, that little bugger fought the rollers and got those ducks.
I just can't wait!!!!

One of my favorite duck places is a small 12 foot wide windy little stream. Late season, when everything else is frozen, this little stream is always open in spots. Mallards and blacks love it, and so do I. 8 or 9 decoys, and a mojo is all you need. Lots of natural cover, so all you have to do is crouch down, and kill the birds as they swing in for their landing. Beautiful !
But in all honesty, the best spot is wherever you find the X. As long as the landowner says, yeah, go ahead.
