Default Clinton back in the news

    But was he ever gone?

Say what you will about his politics, but by any measure, THIS is impressive, an I applaud his efforts to make a difference. Especially in these times. Although, I doubt the donors at this level are reeling from the recession.

Former President Bill Clinton secured a record 291 pledges worth more than $6 billion to tackle global woes at his sixth annual philanthropic summit, which wound up on Thursday.

Maybe the Clintons can then use some of their money & contributions towards this, http://www.voanews.com/english/news/...103711049.html, instead of using our Tax dollars????

This week in New York, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the founding of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, a public-private partnership set up to encourage the production and use of more efficient stoves.

Contributors to the alliance include private foundations, the World Health Organization and two United Nations agencies. Several agencies of the U.S government are also taking part in the program as are the governments of Germany, Norway and the Netherlands.

So if this was a project headed up by little Bush and big Bush it would be alright with you?

Clinton and big Bush have collaborated on humanitarian missions, such as the Tsunami relief, and I applaud them both for being fine ambassadors from the United States.

As much as I despised him as a president, I suspect W Bush will jump into the former-president's club and begin humanitarian efforts at some point also. (as he should...he created much demand for humanitarian aid through his various efforts...)

If a conservative had rounded up that much in pledges from rich guys, you guys would be singing his praises. Since it was done by Clinton, all you can do is find some reason to biatch. What a bunch of petty BS.

Looking at a very small picture, look Global! These past presidents are doing humanitarian act to get to the big prize. A new global leader, one global church, global eco-system, and one global banking system.
