Even though the IMF had projected a 3.3 % increase and has now revised it down to 2.6 % growth, it's better than a 2.6 decline that occurred last year.

BUT, it goes to show that "the experts" rosy predictions are often much less accurate than the actual figures when all is said & done. Also think it continues to show how we're being manipulated by the Admin. Remember PBO's repeated statements last year that "the economy is moving in the right direction" ? How can a decline be in the right direction unless you're trying to collapse the system or don't know what you're talking about.

Either way it makes it "difficult" at best to believe what they're saying now as the Admin seems to have a pattern of deception going with reports that it blocked efforts by government scientists to tell the public just how bad the Gulf oil spill could become.

Because it didn't decline as much as it could have...Kinda like jobs 'saved'. Hard to prove right or wrong.

FWIW, I think the decision to not tell us the ultimate worst case scenario was an excellent decision. It's sorta like intel or our war plans and strategies. There are some things that the public just doesn't need to know for the good of our country.
