PA Gubernatorial Race

After just reading about the NYS governor's race, I'm almost surprised to be saying that PA seems to have two rather decent candidates.

I watched the first debate, and the particpants were rational and businesslike. There were even issues that they agreed upon, and had no problem saying so.

Certainly neither is perfect, but considering what's going on elsewhere, they seem to me to be better than many.

I did find it amusing that the Madam stated that she was the only one qualified to deal with all the whores in Albany.

I agree. For the gov, its a coin toss. They're both decent.

I believe the Tea Party supports him over Sestak, but my sense is that he is rather mainstream ... though appears to be fiscally conservative (I hope!)

It would be easy for Corbett to support the tax on snuff and chewing tobacco, but I think he's correct to concentrate on reducing spending first. Give the politcos more money & they will spend it instead of cutting spending on things that don't work. Where did all the casino money go? Disappeared somewhere. The local govts used the "rebates" as simply an excuse to increase the local taxes, so the net to taxpayers comes out to zero ... or just a slighter increase than otherwise.
