wow, lots and lots of equipment and opportunities for mishaps in 7,000 feet of water. lots and lots of jobs, and lots and lots of oil too. will be interesting to see how the debates play out on this project.
I hope they have thier drilling permits in hand. Though Obama lifted the ban on deepwater drilling, the Feds still won't issue any new drilling permits. That's why Sen Landreau is still holding up Obama appointees. She wants to see new shallow and deepwater drilling permits issued.
By 2014, hopefully Obama will be nothing but a bad dream by then.
The project manger for Chevron, Gary Luquette, is as Cajun as they come and from here. Most of the fabrication will be done at the Port Of Iberia.
