Angle: I think that two wrongs don't make a right. And I have been in the situation of counseling young girls, not 13 but 15, who have had very at risk, difficult pregnancies. And my counsel was to look for some alternatives, which they did. And they found that they had made what was really a lemon situation into lemonade.(http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news...s-and-lemonade)
The straight jacket comment was obviously just opinion. I think the lady is crazy. That certainly wouldn't make her unique in the Senate, but I don't think that is a demographic that requires greater representation among our elected representatives. In the words of Jack Nicholson, "Go sell crazy somewhere else. We're all full up here."

Your Internet???? Did you invent it or pay for it? Was there an inaccuracy in my statement, or do you throw insults or do you simply throw out mindless insults in the same way that you foot kicks out when the doctor taps your knee?

BTW, as a matter of etiquette, you might also want to start signing your real name if you want to go around insulting people. One of the nice things about POTUS is that we are NOT very anonymous. It's one of the few things that helps provide any perspective at all.

well, my yardley is getting upset. as far as angles take on abortion, i suppose you prefer the obama version - wherein he said:

"i dont want my daughter punished with a baby"

yeah, thats a much better approach.

spin spin spin, its all fair game on reid, anything he says can and will be used against him. you should understand that concept - its from your playbook on bush for example.....but of course, its different now, issssnt it??

See, we finally agree. It is a better approach (How does it feel to be quoted completely out of context?). Now, with respect to the "spin spin spin, its all fair game", I disagree completely regardless of the target or the speaker. When I quoted Angles, I quoted her accurately and I quoted her saying exactly what she intended to say. It's a statement that she has said before, said multiple times in that interview, and I'm sure reflects her belief. The only problem she has that has led her to stop doing public interviews is that she says exactly what she thinks, and alienates the people she wants to support her every time she opens her mouth. Her anger sells well, her opinions do not. For the spinmeisters running her campaign, the answer was clear -- don't let her speak.

With respect to the substance on her opinion on abortion, I actually understand her position much better than I do the opinions of those who would allow abortions in the case of incest or rape, but not in cases of consensual sex. If you truly believe that an in utero fetus is a human being with all the rights of a human being, the context of its conception does not diminish its right to live. In fact, the only valid reason for terminating a pregnancy would be to save the life of the mother. While we may not like it, "either/or" decisions are made in many cases where a failure to choose will result in the death of both.

Those who try to have it both ways and argue for allowing abortions in cases of incest or rape are actually doing what Obama suggested. They are demanding that an unwilling mother go through her pregnancy as punishment.

Personally, I have had too much experience with the impact of unwanted pregnancies on both mothers and children. While it may work out some of the time, it usually doesn't in my experience. And the children are the ones who suffer most, victims of both their parents and the law. I hope that we never return to where we were before Roe v. Wade, with abortions being performed with coat hangers and knitting needles by crooks and by the mothers themselves, with sometimes fatal results, because I have seen that also and never wish to see it again.

Did Chris (aka the Janitor) relinquish web-master status to you?
If not, you have no right whatsoever to make such a grandiose demand.

Maybe to help explain some of this, could you tell us how old you are?

    Good God you're dopey!

This is the second time you or Yardley got your panties in a bunch over me telling you to get off my internet. Do you really think that I believe that it's my internet? You both know that it's Al Gore's, not mine.

I actually ignored your comment the first time and responded the second since it was obviously important enough to you to feel the need to repeat. I would agree that brevity is nice. Substance is even nicer. So far you have shown none across your last 15 or so posts in POTUS. In fact, the tenor of your posts is pretty consistent and very stupid.

I believe the question, asked politely, was, How old are you?

That's not a charged question, nor difficult. I am curious to know how old you are. Is that too difficult to answer?
