And you're surprised??
When has the democratic party EVER been in array?
It not possible, when you have a group of liberal, independent thinkers, looking out for their diverse groups of constituents, rather than a group of highly similar, white anglo-saxon protestants marching in lock-step, serving their similar needs, to a voice from a broadcast booth heard 'round the world.
God Bless PFC Jamie Harkness. The US Army's newest PFC, but still our neighbor's little girl!

Heard an analysis on the radio the other day which is quite interesting:
PBO has come to a compromise with the R's on the tax deal. However, Pelosi & other D's don't like the deal, and they have the votes to keep it from happening.
If they do that, then the tax deal comes up in the new Congress on Jan. 3. Since the D's rejected on the compromise made by PBO, the R's could change the parameters, to something even less palatable to the POTUS and the Ds, and could possibly have the votes to make their own preferred deal go through.
If such a scenario unfolds, the POTUS and the D's will be at some odds with each other throughout the remaining 2 years. The POTUS will lose a lot of his credibility with the R's on his capacity to deliver the votes from his own party, and thus his ability to negotiate with the R's. And the D's will also lose some faith in his leadership capability; and be even further encouraged to disagree with O.
Pelosi may have been O's ammunition for passing health care, but she may turn out to be his undoing as a POTUS. It is probably a lucky thing for the US that she will no longer be 3rd in line to the Pres. That was such a scary thought.
I thought it was an interesting analysis. Even more interesting to watch to see how this saga unfolds.

Democrat congress to Obama...F.O.![]()
From the WSJ this morning,
"What a crew. Democrats on Capitol Hill have had two years to avoid this day of tax reckoning, yet they kicked the tough vote into a lame duck session. They proceeded to lose a modern day record of 63 House seats. Then when a Democratic President seeks to spare the country a huge tax increase by cutting a deal with the soon-to-be-majority Republicans, the losers try to bust up the economy and the Obama Presidency on their way out of town."
From the same piece,
"If he can be pounded into retreat by a soon-to-be-former Speaker whose approval rating is barely north of 10%, Mr. Obama is headed for the unhappy resting place for failed Presidencies known as Carterville."
Hahahahahahahahaha
We live in Cuba now.
Why don't we just elect some kindergartners to the House and Senate? I think they would be far less childish than the crowd we have there now.
