I think he's a smart guy, who needs better maintenance of his brain-mouth filter.
The guy has survived horrendous personal loss, rebounded, and remained very popular among his constituency for many years.

I think he's in a terminal position though. one, mabye two terms as VP or perhaps stepping aside to allow a 2016 hopeful in that slot?

When asked the exact same question about a SCOTUS case he disagrees with, he gave a detailed, passionate answer regarding a ruling on a piece of legislation he actually drafted himself. You may not like him, but he ain't stoopid.
