Frankly I think the shooter is part of a new class of losers that feels empowered because they can find other losers online, via gaming or websites, and become emboldened to do something outrageous so they'll be noticed. Used to be, one had to interact face to face to make friends and impress or try to impress people, now entire online personas are created by people with no real friends and no social skills whatsoever, no sense of right and wrong and no safety net of real world disapproval. If I had to speculate, I'd wager it had zero do with Sara Palin's website or any official government or political website, but more to do with the plethora of angry, hate-filled websites that pop up daily from internet experts.
