What is it? A fungal like organism qcquired through an open wound on the
skin or gastrointestinaly from drinking stagnant water and or
eating grass that may contain P. insidiosum
Why a seminar? Usually prevalent in tropical regions. Now recently
numerous cases have been reported in Texas and even
the Dallas-FT. Worth area.
How is it treated? Past treatment has been limited to various antifungal
compounds, which are generally of limited effect. Come
