Before you get so excited that you pee all over yourself:
WASHINGTON — The House has approved a Republican proposal to block federal aid for Planned Parenthood.
The 240-185 vote on Friday is a victory for anti-abortion forces led by Indiana GOP Rep. Mike Pence. He says taxpayer money should not go to groups that provide or promote abortion.
"This afternoon's vote is a victory for taxpayers and a victory for life," Pence said Friday. "By banning funding to Planned Parenthood, Congress has taken a stand for millions of Americans who believe their tax dollars should not be used to subsidize the largest abortion provider in America."
Democrats say Planned Parenthood provides contraception and other valuable family planning services, and that cutting off the money will make it hard for women to get such basic help.
Planned Parenthood provides services in hundreds of clinics around the country. Pence aides say the group reported receiving $363 million in federal money in its latest report.
The proposal is part of a bill that seeks to cut government spending this year.
The Democratic-run Senate has stronger abortion rights views than does the House, making it unlikely the House proposal will survive.
Yep, culture of life. Cut off the means for millions of women to have access to affordable birth control, thereby creating more unplanned pregnancies. Deny them affordable breast and cervical cancer screenings. Make sure they don't know how to use contraceptives, and even if they do, they don't have access to them.

So is the answer more money? Will that cure the ills of unplanned pregnancies and care screenings? No way.....in Texas today, there are "millions" of people who QUALIFY for Medicaid and don't participate! Even HHS's own estimates for Health Care Reform estimate that 10% of the population will remain uninsured BY CHOICE.
As for finding contraceptives, almost every freaking gas station bathroom has a condom machine! Are you saying people are too stupid to find one?
What a bunch of drivel no one is denied anything. Its all about priorities, the "poor" can't afford anything but everytime I'm in the checkout line at Walmart I see the Welfare kings and queens talking on their smartphone with 2 orders of groceries, one that they can use food stamps on and the rest all the junk disallowed. If they can afford the other "junk" then they could use that money to buy the necessities. Get the rid of the fraud, waste, and abuse in the entitlements and help the truely needy, which is an extremely small percentage in this country.
THere is one foolproof method of birthcontrol that is free, keep your pants zipped. If you can't afford $1 for a condom you should be concentrating on where your next meal is coming from not having sex.
