Not sure what the Hilary laugh is for, but you are absolutely right on the money with your assessment.

I was against this invasion of privacy then, and I'm against it now. If there is a reasonable threat, a warrant can be obtained. If there is not time for a warrant, the tap may be obtained when necessary, and then a court must review the tap to ensure its legality and necessisity, and issue the warrant retroactively.

But we've been through all that here before.

(pardon my use of the first person in my reply. I can only answer for myself. I used the pronoun "I" three times, excluding this parenthetical, to save you from word counting)

He absolutely did campaign against this and promised that he would change the law if elected. There was a hint on how he really felt while he was in the Senate when he voted to give the telecoms immunity after he promised that he wouldn't.

There is also the issue of all the Democrats on the hill just falling obediently inline to what ever Obama decrees. Why they not showing the same disdain and outcry they showed to Bush when he supported these policies?
