Pirates now capture Danish family
What's the deal with all these pirates and why the heck can't we or anyone do anything about it.
What's the purpose of the United Nations?
Geez....line up some big boats off the coast of Somalia and pound the hell outta them. Chase them down and run them out of the Indian Ocean.
We have all this technology, communications, firepower, navies, air craft carriers, satellites, etc but we can't stop these pirates?
Enough is enough...
Makes me wonder, too, why some countries can't just get together; use satellite surveyance and head the bad guys off as they leave port? If the bad guys should get aggressive, when peacefully asked to return home, it might result in an unfortunate incident of bloodshed ... the pirates', that is.

Just once I wish someone would outfit their yacht with Chuck Norris type armament and unveil them when the pirates came to raid their boat

The Johansen family was aware of the pirate threat in the waters off of East Africa but believed that warships patrolling the waters would protect them, according to entries on their travel blog.
Maritime experts said the Johansens had placed themselves in grave danger off Somalia's lawless coast despite warnings from naval forces struggling to police the area against pirates.
Ya gotta love this part though -
However, a Somali pirate who gave his name as Muse Abdi said the family was transferred to another, larger pirated ship. He said the family has not been harmed.
... Abdi said that no ransom demands have yet been made. He said the pirates aren't criminals but "coast guards."
