Default Gingrich/Santorum placed on leave from Fox

Fox has placed both Gingrich and Santorum on leave from their positions as Fox contributors since they have all but announced their intentions to run for the 2012 Republican nomination...guess that will give all the speculators on future candidates when they put Palin, Bolton, and Huckabee on leave should they decide to run

I'm a huge fan of Newt. I believe he brings the most intelligence to the POTUS office of any of the 'contenders'. I couldn't care less about his 'personal baggage', regardless of that being what the mental midgets in the MSP will use as their major weapon against him. It's truly sad to think there are enough imbecilic voters in this country, that the leftist press would believe those personal attacks have that much traction in the USA today.

As a running mate, I like either Allen West, or Marco Rubio. It's my guess from a vote getting standpoint, Rubio would carry more water than West. The Jesse Jackson socialists will be total Obama toadies, and West can't overcome that ignorant thinking. The black conservatives will continue to vote conservative, but putting MLK on the conservative ticket couldn't get any Obama followers to switch parties. About all we can hope for is they have become disgruntled with BHO enough to not vote at all.

Rubio, OTOH, has some real gravitas with many conservatives as well as the Hispanics in this country, and could make a large difference in the outcome for the 2012 elections. Should the conservatives not be able to take this country back in 2012, they will never get it back. The something-for-nothing crowd will have too many voters who will continue to elect the class envy leaders that will buy votes to stay in power over them.

Hopefully I'll still be around to participate in the 2012 election. It will be the most important this nation will ever conduct in my lifetime. Should the liberal/socialist/Democrat party stay in power, that will mean the oligarchy of BHO will have again made fools of the electorate, and there will be no reason for the USA to exist. Goose's prognostication will be fulfilled.

    Hey UB.....want a real shocker??

    I like Newt too!

Not that I want him for president, but he's a great counterbalance to the left, and fairly reasonable in his wants and ideas. I'm interested to see how the mainstream republicans accept his candidacy, and even more interested to see the TP's reaction.

As a former dog breeder who has fought some of the unfriendly dog legislation sponsored by Santorum he will never be someone that I would vote for. He may not be animal friendly period in that he may help pass bills that will have a negative impact on animal use in any way in the USA. I'm a farmer at heart and if our country continues to pass rules/laws to hamper the use of animals we are going to have problems feeding our country. Actually we depend too much on other countries at this time. I do not want to go vegan !

Rubio and Rand Paul are the future of the Republican Party, I dont know if either of them can make enough of an impact between now and the convention, but a ticket with either of them on it would be formidable...just my .02

I doubt personal baggage really means anything to voters ... if it did the Kennedy brothers and slick Willie would have been toast. I'm sure that there are plenty of other examples.

David Vitter, Mark Sandford....both served out their terms. I think Vitter was even re-elected. Larry Craig finished his term also.

It's the media that cares Gerry. If it is a liberal politician, he could be another Teddy Kennedey in the morals dept and they would put him on a pedestal... but, if it happened to be a conservative...just let him have a parking ticket and watch the media go into a feeding frenzy trying to dig up more dirt.

Your words would carry more meaning if conservatives hadn't just re-elected David Vitter!

    Just sayin....

I was not talking about voters jackwagon, I was talking about the media. My words have meaning to me. If they don't have meaning to you, fine. I will not lose any sleep.
