House and senate have both passed a new continuing resolution for another 3 weeks.
Senate passed it this afternoon. Still needs Bumma to sign it though.

That would be a question for the Republicans to answer. The Democrats and Independents want you to be paid.

    Got it.

Congress WILL NOT allow military pay to falter. There are only enough idiots to allow that to happen to count on one hand. Every congressman knows that if they vote against a supplemental military pay authorization, they will be packing up their offices in short order.

How are things in Missou? Do you work on the A-10s? Fly them? Awesome plane, but my fav is up here at Ellsworth...the B1B.

I'm sure since they have passed the CR for another 3 months, the heat is off, but I doubt you'd be in any trouble for pay. The dude that's writing the article however, is certainly in the Obama camp, and seems to be enjoying scaring the crap outa you guys.

I copied some of his article so I could make a comment on it.

If government shuts down, so would troop pay

By Rick Maze - Staff writer
    Posted : Friday Mar 11, 2011

U.S. troops could be required to report to work without pay if a budget clash in Congress results in a government-wide shutdown, according to draft planning guidance circulating in the Pentagon.
A shutdown could happen as early as next week, as the government is set to run out of money at midnight March 17. A bill that would keep the government operating temporarily has been prepared in the House of Representatives, but it is not clear when or if it might pass.

This is pretty specious! The 'author' KNOWS IT WILL PASS! And if it wouldn't, the Dingy Harry crowd need only to look in the mirror.

The government has been operating under a series of temporary appropriations, known as continuing resolutions, since Oct. 1 because of lawmakers’ inability to agree on how much money to provide federal agencies.

This bit of liberal bias is what you get from the MSP these days. The N Y Times, and Washington Post editors have to be proud of this obvious lack of 'telling it like it is' truth obfuscation.

Hey, you weasely spined maggots that made up the Democrat party, had full...THAT'S FULL..control of every branch of power, but they were too busy trying to get all their favorite spending bills passed, they DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO PROVIDE A BUDGET.

Now, of course, it's all the Republicans fault because they want to do what they were sent to do by the electorate...namely reduce the lavish spending done by Obama and his minions. But that doesn't pass muster with the likes of Roger, Buzz, dnf and the rest of that clan of socialists. As long as they believe in the likes of Soros, Moore, and Obama, we need to fight for the life of this nation. Otherwise, you can kiss it goodby.

Furthermore, if the Wisconsin law rescinding the ability of the PUBLIC UNIONS to continue to ruin that states budget gets overturned, we won't need to go to the polls in 2012. This nation will have been ruined at that moment.

What the Wisconsin conservatives have done is what's needed for this nations survival, and needs to be duplicated in the states that have similar public unions. If not, we all know what will happen. I just wonder how in the hayel the liberal/socialist/Democrats can just keep kicking the can down the road, and what the lies are they feed their children.
