minus (-110) means you have to put up 110 dollars to win a hundred, in other words the house agrees with you on the outcome(favorite) and you have to pay the vig...if it was + 110, you would be betting the underdog and betting 100 to win 110..

as the days increase the likelyhood that the truce will be broken may increase, so the odds may go to -250 (bet 250 to win 100)

the house makes money on the action, and being on the correct side of the outcome of the game...the line of the game is not really an indication of how the game will turn out, its a number the sportsbook line makers thinks that they can get an equal number of wagers on both sides

even if the favorite wins the game it may not cover the spread, and thus the house wins big

Like when horse racing for example is on the news they will say a horse is “Favored”. Is this because once central source says so or do all the houses come to their own line? And obviously folk must disagree with the line or they would not bet in the first place right?

they use the Las Vegas disemmination service which "advises" them on what the number should be...the Stardust used to set the line here in town and every one would play off of that number, but now the standard or initial line is usually set at either the LV Hilton or Caesars Palace

I am hoping..honestly that both MEN will see that this feud, is now reached silly,pointless, and does no one any good...and the sooner we all move on the better off for all concerned
