Default Wisconsin anti-union law on hold for two months or more

A Wisconsin law stripping most public employees of most of their collective bargaining is likely on hold for at least two months. Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi has extended a restraining order keeping the law from going into effect while she considers whether the state open meetings law was broken in the process of passing the law.

The repubicans should stop wasting time and just pass the whole darn thing again. That would stop that activist judge dead in her tracks.

I culd have posted the story from Capital hill Blue but took it directly from the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel website. Looks like the Governor hit a big speed bump this time. But with nothing constructive to say you right back to name calling typical response.

Sumi , ironic name fo a judge, could have decided this case in a lot less time than she has spent issuing these orders. She is purposely delaying this and should be thrown off the bench.

I would think they would now have to wait for a ruling. I have noticed that one of the main posters has been mum on the subject though.

Nope, Sumi actually suggested they do just that days ago.

One way to neutralize the activist judge is by firing a certain amount of state employess every week so that the state can still balance thier budget.

Accept the new law or else!

A judge circumventing the will of the voters is dangerous.
The Libertarian Party believes that all persons are entitled to keep the fruits of their labor. A call for the repeal of the income tax, abolishment of the Internal Revenue Service and all federal programs and services not required under the U.S. Constitution. We support the passage of a "Balanced Budget Amendment" to the U.S. Constitution, provided that the budget is balanced exclusively by cutting expenditures, and not by raising taxes. LP.org

Sumi. I think she must be a Finnlander.

This must be pretty infuriating to conservatives, judicial sand in the gears of the machine.
