Where do we go without great leaders for the defense of our liberties? Who will defend our right to live our lives _as we chose_ without others taking that from us? The answer is, as it should be, no one. We are the defense of our rights and should always remember that. Libertarian blogger
Nice.
I lump you (Franco) with no one else but you.
I respectfully disagree with some of your points but under NO circumsatnce would I lump you with Roger.
BTW--I bet 5 #'s of Johnsonville Brats & a 12 pack of Leinies Red vs 5 #'s of Cajun Crawdads or Gumbo and your favorite local brew!!

I'd like to think my reasoning is based on an opened mind. One with real solutions not some blind beliefs.
You are correct though and that we are all different. I don't want to see another 4 years of Obama. But, if the right in going to represent big government, just a differnt flavor, them count me out. Big government is why we have the problems we have today.
Is Boehner supporting raising the debt ceiling?
Give me Liberty!

Tax loopholes need to be plugged. No more tax breaks for big business including oil companies. If these issues cannot be addressed the deficit will continue to grow. Cutting out funding for programs like Planned Parenthood is just a drop in the Ocean and will create bigger expenditures in the long run.
However, Republican contributions rely on big business and big oil to fund their campaigns and will not be touched. Let's go after some big money spending cuts not just the nickle and dime spending cuts or Republican agenda spending cuts.
We need to get the hell out of Afghanistan and iraq and not get any more involved in Libya. Let the U.N. take care of the mess there.

Who the hell are you and the other Obama lovers to tell anybody about plugging loopholes, after we watch GE get coddled by your messiah???
So going "after some big money spending cuts" is what you're in favor of? Then we should be expecting you to be lobbying for the Paul Ryan version of the 2012 budget?
It's my bet you'll be wringing your hands and propping up all your liberal/socialist buddies in the Senate, fighting against that budget with everything they can throw at it. I can hardly wait for the left telling us all we'll be feeding our elderly dog food again.

Tax rich people into oblivion so Rodger don't get less on his monthly check.
Tremayne Fields
maybe the government should take all your money and feed you rice so that you will respect them more.

Yes the Republicans took over control of the House in the last election. However since the last election the people have seen how far right the pendulum has swung to the right and the people do not like it. 60$% of the people of Wisconsin do not think their governor is doing a good job and that is just 2 months into his taking over the office and if another election were held today he would not be elected again. The same hold true for the governors in Utah and Indiana and any other state that is going after busting the unions. Do you really think that the voters of either party that are getting their pay slashed by 8% would vote for them as a governor again??????How about their family members do you think they would vote for them again???????????
How about social security and medicare ----------- do you think reducing social security and increasing medicare will endear the elderly to the Republican Party????????????? Think again big boy. The people have seen what the tea party is about and don't like it. The only people still salvating are the hopped up far right tea party members themselves.
Other than Palin and Bachman I don't see any other Republican Presidential canidate endorsing the Tea Party.

If Ryan's budget proposal doesn't stand a chance in hell of passing THIS Senate, what makes you think a Paul proposal would?
Similar to the folly of adding that shutdown of PP in THIS years budget skirmishes, it makes no sense to present a 2012 budget so FAR over the hill it's not even in the reality ball park.
Besides, you cry 'Liberty'. Does that mean you are in the Paul camp of protectionism as well?
