    Default Motorcycles GDG

Well I labeled it GDG but not sure if there is a such a thing on POTUS, I was just curious how many of you ride and what kind of bike you ride.

I rode for awhile, then sold the bikes after 2 hip surgeries, they were not related to the motorcycle. I am now the proud owner of a 73 Sears allstate (oil injected 2 stroke) and a 70 Sears 106(4 stroke) both bikes need work, but I am restoring them for my dad who recently passed away. He owned alot of bikes in his time but always talked about his sears bikes, although thinking about it I do not know if they were all good stories. I am more of a fair weather rider to be honest, he was not, snow, ice, sleet, rain, freezing temps and he always rode if we wanted to, he never let the waether change his mind.

I have owned a few crotch rockets, 2000 Yamaha 600rr,07 Honda CBR 600, now the old Sears will hopefully see the road again. I will post pics as soon as I can.

    So what about you guys?

Oh and if you do not ride, or think it is so dangerous you want to thorn in the side of those who like to ride, go preach it somewhere else.

I just sold a V-star a few months back. I ride a 2000 Suzuki Bandit 1200 now. I'm over cruisers and don't care to ride crotch rockets, so this is my current "ideal bike".
Those Sears bikes have got to be the coolest bikes I've ever seen! Please keep us updated on the resto! Who built them for Sears? I've never even heard of them. They sort of have a British look to them, don't they?

Over the years I owned and rode BSA's, Triumph's, Moto-Guzzi's, Ducati's and some from Spain and Eastern Europe I can't even remember the names of. Bultaco rings a bell, so does Jawa. I even had a Vespa for a while. (Bella Roma) Always wanted a BMW tourer, but never did it.
Parts and maintenence were always a challenge as dealers and importers came and went. Then Honda came. I had several, long gone now.

My last was a 350 Honda I sold to a rancher tired of horses. He called it "his marvelous horse without shit". I taught him to ride standing on the pegs as he checked his fence line.

I haven't owned a motor-cycle for some time now...maybe I'll get geriatric crazy though. When I stop running dogs.
