This came from an email from my Congressman, so this is the only quote I have for you.Gov. Tom Corbett signed the Castle Doctrine legislation into law earlier this week. It will allow law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, as self-defense against an attacker or intruder without a duty to retreat first. It also offers protection against civil liability for the lawful use of force in self-defense. The new law will not apply if the person entering the home is another resident of the home, a law enforcement officer or is a parent, grandparent or other guardian removing a child from the home or vehicle. It also does not apply if a person is using his or her home or vehicle to further criminal activity.
This law seems to actually make sense. Quite a novelty.
