Colorado has the "Make My Day" law or something to that affect, too.

I feel sorry for the dumb criminal who comes into my house uninvited when I'm home! And I won't shoot just to scare them off...

Glad to see PA now has similar laws.

You have to live in PA to understand it better

The State is the only source of hard liquor in PA, for starters. All liquor stores are "state stores". Of course, those stores' employees are state employees with state pensions as well It's been a fight for some years to divest the state of this. Getting closer to accomplishing this, we hope.

The state has now begun taxing proceeds of IRAs. PA taxes casino profits at 50% v. much less in other states that have legalized gambling.

We had Dem Gov. Rendell for 8 years, who increased the budget by leaps and bounds. Rendell went to Harrisburg via Philadelphia political machine. It's small wonder that Rendell was on a list of potential VP choices for Obama, if Biden was dropped off the ticket.

I moved there from Idaho back in the late 90's. it wasn't a month I was there till I got a welcome to PA letter followed up with a percapita tax. And shortly after that a "right to work tax". Then that tax season the town I lived in sent me a form for my city income tax. I would love to be a fly on the wall at those board meetings.

"Hey Sam,,we need more money... Oh waht do you propose ,,,,,hey we can tell the tax payer they have a right to work and then we can tax that. They'll love it,,,and give us another term."

who comes up with this sh!t

Oh and you should read some of the township rules and regulations.
A commonwealth is where your wealth is common to the governments and is redistributed to wasteful means

Other than the politics its a gorgeous state.
