Betty Ford passes away at age 93
former First Lady Betty Ford passed away last night in Rancho Mirage Calif
all politics aside she was one heck of a great lady and battled her demons for all the world to see..the number of lives the Betty Ford clinic has saved will never be known for sure
Mrs Ford may you rest in peace for eternity with Gerry, thank you for all you gave this country and humanity

We could use more like Betty & Gerry on our political scene. Both risked a lot to do the right thing. After all Gerry's years in politics, I'm sure he knew that the Nixon pardon wasn't going to help his career, but it was the best thing for the country at the time. And I think people forget that he made a quick & correct decision to rescue American sailors.
