How was it removed? I'd have to say something that small would have most likely just passed on through.
It passed. Costly is relative; Could have been much worse.
Glad it didn't have to be surgically removed.
Playing with my Gsp in the pool and noticed the valve in my bumper was missing don't know if she swallowed it or not, but something that small should pass without a problem. Had a scare last week she ate a mens twin blade razor blades and all, didn't even cut her mouth, recovered all but maybe 1/4 of 1 blade and gave up digging poop after 2 days, never any ill effects. Luckily those blades are really flimsy when they are out of the frame and stomach acids go to work on the sharp edges. Gave her 2 pieces of white bread every 2 hrs for 1.5 days to help protect any piece that might have caused a issue
Mine also ate a razor blade and all. We gave bread, metamucil and than spend days looking for it. Guess it all came out she lived a long life. When our dog ate Christmas lights we gave cotton balls soaked in milk. The bumper valve is scary never thought about that.
My 2 year old ate a rubber flip flop slipper this morning while I was away at Walmart. I promptly got it back when I got home, thank goodness for hydrogen peroxide.
