Your "spot on" dude is typical of Liberalism in this society. After his form of government that he champions and no doubt wrote profusely about, can no longer make a legit excuse as to who's 'individually' to blame for what's happening, they just shrug and blame society. How convenient.
Between the Libs/socialists/communists/environmental whackos/unionistas/et al...there's no end to the finger pointing that can be made as to why this nation is in the pathetic state it's in.

You can blame any individual you like but in essence the blame ultimately is ours as a society. We tolerate a system where the tax code is insanely difficult to understand and where the people who write the tax laws know it is unjust, We allow politicians to write and approve trade policies where the extraction of wealth is enormous and funneling billions of dollars into country's such as China and then we have a banking system that basically controls Congress, with their lobbyists, that enact laws extremely favorable to their own interests and provide protection even when they lose money, not to mention not serving any jail sentences for fraud and negligence. All the while what do we do? We yell and scream at each other calling each other names oblivious to what is really going on.
We now have a one party system that just happens to have two wings.
