2) I wonder why blocking transcripts from college are such a big deal? My own college transcript only shows courses and grades. So what? Why resist the release of something so mundane?
I can understand that Michelle might want her thesis blocked if it had content supporting socialism or communism. Yup, that would make great media fodder. But blocking a simple transcript?
3) That he had the $ for a world trip, when he had received financial aid previously for college?
As I understand it, his grandparents raised him & they were "comfortable" middle class, though not, perhaps, "rich". I suppose that he could have been eligible for financial aid based on his parents' financial situation, if his grandparents were not his legal guardians. Perhaps the grandparents gave him the $ for the trip?
If the answers are as simple as this, why not just say so? Why the intrigue?
Truthfully, most of us might acknowledge that our college years were not always the best example of our future potential. In fact, if we were misguided at that point in our lives & put our act together, that should be a favorable reflection on character. Our history is peppered with uplifting stories of how misguided young people found their way into fruitful adult lives.
