Wonder if that's just where we'd be if we never spent all that money on "stimulus"?


Supposedly there is bi-partisan support for the transportation bill pending. Wonder if that includes the two hi-speed rail proposals that only seem to look good on paper ... but which are impractical/fairly useless for the areas for which they are proposed. Would sound more reasonable to fix all the bridges before worrying about hi-speed rail. Even a bridge like the Tappan Zee, for example, is an accident waiting to happen.
