factory loads that have a high Brass base are perttier... @5$#@4455
(dont know what happened there)
Manufactures usually designate a "Field Load" with a high Brass Hull.
Just a convienence.
They also help with high Volume loads (lots a dense powder, and big shot (notice yours were 2 shot,) to keep the side walls from kinking when being crimped.
Winchester AA type hulls,, and Remington "Premiere" typpe hulls can have both Low brass and High brass. They are referred to as compression formed type hull. 1 piece. They dont have a seperate base wad. (typically)
The low brass and high brass are identicle internally.
Go out and purchse the Lyman shotshell reloading manual. It is a necessity for your reloading future,, and it will explain in detail all this stuff.
High Brass (Most of them arnt Brass, but rather Plated steel) can be an issue when reloading, if you dont have a Quality resizer annd shoot those high Brass (steel) hullls in an auto loader. (they may stick when being ejected)
If your are getting ready to reload,,, Pay attention to the other thread Ya started, and dont buy Cheap Ammo to obtain your hulls for the future.
I really like Remington STS hulls. You can save some money,, and buy Remington "GUN CLUBS" they are the same hull internally.
You can get several reloads from them. If you are buying ammo now for future reloading hulls,,,, Id buy those.
Dont try to reload Fiochii ,Estates, Cheapie winchester Promo hulls,, You wont be a happy Dancer.
