    Default Choke tubes

    Hey folks, and recommendations on choke tubes for browning maxus for ducks looking at carlson mid range invector plus as a starting point not sure what chokes come with gun picking it up tommorow or if they will pattern still well, thanks in advance

    the improved choke that comes with the gun should be fine for shooting ducks. imho

    yup!

    Dont over think stuff.. Take that choke, pattern test a few different loads,, and practice shooting the gun... All pretty simple really..
    It is far easier to spit on the work of others than it is to produce something better yourself.

    I have tried pattern master, kicks, and Carlson in my browning gold. The Carlson worked the best for me.

    My Carlson chokes work fine in my guns. I do have better pattern uniformity with various brand of ammo. I would do some pattern testing before I would change brands of chokes.

    I have the Maxus and use the sporting clays Carlson as well but I use the gun for pheasants, on my BPS I use the Briley

    Take a look at www.robrobertscustomgunworks.com he has a computerized patterning system that will show you what chokes and loads work in your gun. No guessing. Also will show your point of impact.
