No you just make her stay on the couch if she cooks good or find another one if she doesn't. Just kidding

When dogs have that much gas, it's a signal that something isn't right.
Teddy has allergy issues and the only (reasonably priced) food that I've found so far that agrees with his system is Taste of the Wild High Prairie. Foods containing poultry are a definate problem, and I suspect some grains are also a contributing factor. Give him the wrong food and it's instant gas, followed by an ear infection. Truth be told, he's a bit of a mess, with a bad hip, touch of bronchitis, initial signs of laryngeal paralysis and poor hearing to name a few issues. I've no idea what his breeding is because I adopted him from a very rural rescue group, but he's the sweetest lab you'll ever find.

Looking after a pet is more than just a lot of work; it will cost you a ton of cash. This is especially true if you get the pet at a young age. It may cost a lot of cash when your pet gets hurt or sick, and add up the food expense that is really costly. But, owning a pet that loves you is always worth it. Read more: Pet Care.

Fowl Hunter try the Dog Fuel Senior. I only feed the extreem during hunting season and they have gas. Once back on the senior it goes away.

To answer your question I would not change during hunting season. The Guys at the duck shack would wonder what is wrong. They think its laughing gas because we always bust a gut when it comes whafting up. Meal time they go to the kennel.

Mine are house dogs so I can and have changed food if their gas gets unbearable. There's no one "best" food for all dogs. Some do well on the super premium brands, others don't. You just have to find one that works well (including no gas!) for your dog.

I feed Diamond Natural chicken and rice and have no gas problems. You would think that having 8 dogs in the house and all on the same food, one of them would have gas.
In my opinion it's the grains that cause the gas. Starch, which is in grains, breaks down into sugars and its these sugars that cause the gas. I'm not a believer in the fact that high protein/fat is the root cause of the gas but would be the components that cause the smell.
