As a pet owner with a dog that has a problem with ear infections, I like the hot wax treatment for ear infections. I am under the impression it is new.
It is for dogs with chronic ear infections. The vet heats up wax inside a syring by microwaving it in a coffee cup full of water. The hot wax is squirted into the ear where it coats the inside. Two weeks later, the wax is washed out of the ear with ear cleaner. The wax has medicine it. It is great.
This may be what you are referring to, a mixture of enrofloxacin (antibiotic) ketoconazole (antifungal), triamcinalone (anti inflammatory) in a lanolin base
