Anything for the Dem convention ABC stores open on Labor day

So, lets not hold the democratic convention to the normal liquor laws in NC. They are proposing changing the law so that the ABC stores, we have state run booze stores, can be open this year only in that county only on Labor day.
Either change the law so that all ABC stores in the state can be open on every Labor day or leave them ALL closed on Labor day.
Do lawmakers not realize how this looks to the rest of the state?
Oh, and you will notice the link is from a NY paper not a NC paper. Haven't heard a peep about this locally.

The comical side of this is that all the protesters won't run out of booze either! Sometimes they really don't look at the big picture.
