That is the story everywhere...there are jobs if you are skilled, but lets not forget we are now the country of cell phones and video games. Therefore if texting is part of the job requirement, there is a big list of sutible employees, but if welding a weld that will stand the test of an xray...need to look south of the border

somewhere along the line the American public has been led to believe that an education was a GUARANTEE to a high paying wage, college grads today are unwilling to put the time in to entry level positions, thinking that they can immediately walk into six figure junior partner positions, armed with a degree but with little actual work experience or common sense...it also doesnt help that we (as a society) pay actors, athletes and politicians a kings ransom when they perform nothing more than entertainment

If you don't like the salaries paid to entertainers, don't watch them. The same with televised sports. Ratings = revenues = salaries. As for politicians they are stars already. As someone noted here a while back, "I don't think a commoner should be candidate for President."
