Default Why does the left lump teachers with Firefighters and cops?

OK this drives me nuts. The left always places teachers in the same group with firefighters and cops yet never mentions any other public sector workers such as DMV, garbagemen, librarians etc.
FF's and cops risk their lives for other people. To me it puts them in a whole different category.
Left wing nuts please explain why a teacher is the same?

Maybe the teachers do risk their lives. Some schools have metal detectors for the students to pass through. Pretty sad.
