During the call, the statement said, Obama told Morsy that "he rejects efforts to denigrate Islam, but underscored that there is never any justification for violence against innocents and acts that endanger American personnel and facilities."
I find the bolded portion especially concerning. It leaves open the possibility of violence against those who actually produced or performed in the movie as I am certain that the muslims would not consider them innocents. He should have said something more to the effect that words are words, and violence is violence. That in America we protect the right of free speech but will meet violence with greater violence.
