...but I keep trying. It must be so nice to have the entire MSP in your back pocket. It certainly gives the "FOOLS" lots of confidence. There are some of us that aren't buying it.

Mitt Romney Was Just Talking About Julia

I believe the remarks made by Mitt Romney at a May fundraiser are so controversial because they’re true.

Jim Geraghty has a round-up of anecdotes which make it clear that government dependency is a big, big factor in American lives, and Bryan Preston points out that Romney was just talking about Julia, star of an Obama ad which was launched just weeks before Romney made his comments:
The clips are said to be from a May 17 fundraiser.

Two weeks prior to that, the American public met “Julia,” the Obama campaign’s mascot for depending on government from cradle to grave. Julia is shown from age three to age 65, always dependent on Barack Obama, who appears to have been in office for her entire life. Though she has a child, she never has a husband. Who needs one of those when Barack is looking out for her?

The theme of the entire slide set is that you can depend on the benevolent reign of Barack Obama.
Where did Mitt Romney get his notions about vast swaths of the American public being so dependent on government they’ll vote for whoever will keeps the benefits flowing regardless of what that means for the nation’s fiscal and economic health? Maybe from the way many Americans actually behave, and the way Democrats themselves campaign.

Democrats find the idea of self-sufficient Americans to be anathema. Remember, record levels of food stamps enrollment are, to Democrats, something to be proud of. Which is why any talk of America reaching the tipping point – where there are more people riding on the government’s wagon than pulling it – is treated as something akin to hate speech.

It’s an ugly truth. If only Romney had the courage to talk this way publicly, instead of only while sequestered with groups of his financial backers. And I wish he’d talk about more than just those who benefit from social programs.

Yes, people on the government dole are more likely to vote to keep that dole in place. But corporations will also vote to keep their subsidies in place. Defense contractors will vote to keep the military budgets larger. And on and on.

Romney’s mistake, to the extent that he made one, was in only talking about one facet of the problem.

I realize we have to put up with the addicted SFN crowd that just don't understand this nation wasn't founded for the "cradle-to-grave" pathetic do nothings that expect big government to take care of them. How can so many Democrats consider they are 'entitled' to running this country into ruination. How can so many of you continue to support the destruction of the American Constitution by this regime?

Pardon me if I consider all of you to be total charletans. Just taking only a single issue item, those of you that think Obama won't remove your 2nd amendment rights, is proof how sheepleized you have become.

But HEY,...should the Obama lovers on this message board prevail, it won't be a total loss for me. Hellsbells, just think of all the fun I'll have by reminding all you "FOOLS" I told you so. If it wasn't so disastrous for my great-grandkids, it would be incredibly enjoyable. Just think of the fun it will be for me to watch:

The numbers of welfare recipients increase incomprehensibly.

The increase in unemployment, that will eventually reach the many pompous FOOLS that are voting for this ineptocracy to continue. I can hardly wait until you are also part of the "kept" prolertariat.

The numbers of food stamp users increase to a point the Federal Ag Dept can't keep up.

The SFN, OWS, and the other class envy FOOLS, turn this nation into another Greece. I can only look forward to you being in the middle of the anarchy those losers will cause.

Remember this...you can call me whatever you want, but you will always be a member of the racist "FOOLS" crowd that will most certainly be the downfall of this once great country. Say goodby to your freedoms and liberty if what you believe comes about. May your white guilt comfort you.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but the citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency.

It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency, than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those that made him their President.
