This was the result of an Inspector General Report. Now $14 million is only a drop in the bucket ... but where did the $ go? When a private business doesn't set aside those funds, they are in deep doo-doo with the IRS. Usually, in the case of a private business, either the $ was used to keep the business up-and-running; or the principals may have dipped into the funds for personal use. So, in the case of a Federal agency, where did the $ go?
Just another $14 million to demonstrate how big govt gets out of hand ... nobody even misses $14 million! And then there is the millions of unpaid personal income taxes of Federal employees. Throw in the waste from all agencies ... $850,000 wasted on JUST ONE conference at GSA is just one example. Do we really have any idea what is happening to the tax dollars that go to DC? or our state capitols?
