Rookie looking to get into HT....where do I start.

I'm not new to the forum but tired of not understanding all of the acronyms and with all of the hype that I read about HT, I'm thinking it may be a good fix for me outside of duck season. I know to join a HRC, which I plan on making my first meeting and training day if all of the stars align this month. Are there any good sites out there or anything on this forum that I've missed that explains the different levels, expectations at each level, qualifications needed at different levels, etc. ? I have a "Pow" pup that is almost 11 months now. We are almost finished with Swim By and going by Lardy's program. I've included a pic of my Bird Boy and pup. I was also able to take my pup on his first teal hunt this year in a very controlled, dry crawfish field, where I was able to focus on him and not the hunting. I do have to say that it was hard to put the gun down with the action being fast and furious. I already train at numerous areas in my area with a few "experienced" trainers. Thanks in advance for the guidance and really enjoy reading all of the posts.

Go to the AKC and/or HRC web sites and download and read the rules. Age requirements are covered in the rule book.
