How can I use this?

Training a hunting dog has gotten me into the hunt test world. This is the only water I have regular access to other than the river and I want to make sure I'm making the most use out of it. The island is a rather steep mound, about 10 feet above water level at the center and the bank closest to it is also steep and tall. The rest of the pond has gradual slopes and the corner that is cut off in the picture is pretty thick with trees and growth. As a reference, red line is 100 yards.

Like I said, I'm wanting to make the most of what I've got. What do ya'll think would be good setups to run here (marks and blinds, what concepts would they help with, etc.) I'm always impressed with how much insight you experienced folks have.

I looked at this pond as something my dogs could work on.

Initially, here are some marks that look interesting. There are four sets of three. I can't tell how far up on land the marks would be fair, so to start with AOFs are in the water or near shorelines.



Here are three sets of gradient blinds and three cold blinds. The sequence of using this area would be to juggle setups carefully so as to avoid working with similar lines and angles too soon.



One could use up a lot of time or become bored with too many 100 yard swims. As with any pond, "once around the horn" may create "memories" not so easily extinguished.

Thanks! I didn't realize how many ways I could make that pond cheaty like you did in the marks. That is definitely an issue we need to keep practicing.
